Restaurants are a specialised area of operation.

When you are seeking a medium-sized motel of up to 20 rooms it is not prudent to take on the operation of a restaurant in addition to operating the motel area of the business.

Being on your feet from 6.00am in the morning to at least 11.00 pm daily requires a great deal of stamina.

Restaurants should be considered when there is evidence that the motel and the restaurant can be operated independently of each other. A restaurant then becomes an asset to the motel business attracting guests to stay in the motel. This balance has to be carefully assessed.
